Teams of up to 3 students will be formed at the beginning of the semester. Each team will be responsible for completing a semester project: a new case study to introduce E-services.
Each team's proposal will be reviewed by the class at midterm, and the completed project will be delivered for critical analysis at the conclusion of the semester.

M-WB: Each team will propose a market opportunity, develop a business model, define a value proposition, a business plan and a finance program, design a customer interface, and propose an implementation strategy and success metrics for the model business.
For the preparation of the project, students are required to study the listed required readings, and evaluate 3 selected Case Studies among the ones listed in this Web Site. The first is Google, one is free choice and one should be Ebay or Amazon.

PoE1: Each team will propose a business model, choose the technology, define the architecture, design a customer interface, and implement a software prototype which will have to be demonstrated at the end of the semester.



Guidelines Used for Grading Case Study Reports

These are the guidelines that I will use in evaluating your written reports.

Writings:

1. Is the paper in the specified length?
2. Was there any evidence of additional research into the topic?
3. Did the writer explore, discuss, critically analyze, and debate the issues effectively?
4. Was the paper only slightly more than a rehash of the case study passout?
5. Were the paper-writing guidelines presented in class followed?
6. Did the paper suggest future areas of inquiry or detail open issues not yet resolved?

Mid Term Project Progress Presentation:

M-WB: At this point in the term, students team should have defined their research project. Each team will make a presentation of their vision, project objectives, business model, value proposition, finance program, business program and implementation strategy. For each group: Presentation 15 minutes + 15 minutes discussion.

PoE1: At this point in the term, student teams should have defined their business idea. Each team will present their business model, IT requirements, architecture, and Ttechnology chosen. Optional: a mock up prototype. For each group: Presentation 15 minutes + 10 minutes discussion.
