The Database and Information Systems group (DBIS) at the Institute of Computer Science of the Goethe University Frankfurt, has joined today the Rialto Academic Program.
The work at the group of Databases and Information Systems headed by Professor Zicari focuses two major aspects, Teaching and Research. Both these activities pertain to fields of database and information systems with its broad spectrum of applications specific to Internet and e-commerce.
"We plan to test the applicability of Rialto in our research project Gugubarra. The fundamental idea behind this research area is to give tools to the owner of a Web portal that allow to perform the following tasks: to analyze, store and predict the behavior and interest of (registered) visitors of a Web site; to group visitors with similar or comparable behavior and/or interests: and to offer visitors personalized E-services based on the assigned cluster. In particular, we are interested to test Rialto`s Business Analytics functionalities", says Prof. Zicari.
